Our School Day

Breakfast Club

Our very popular Breakfast Club is run by school staff and opens at 8am each school day. The cost, which must be paid in advance, is £2.50 per day. Children have a range of toys and games to play with, as well as a healthy breakfast including drink if they would like one. 

The morning routine

  1. Gates to the school open at 8.35am.
  2. Children will walk themselves into class from the top gate.
  3. Reception children can choose to walk alone or be accompanied to the door as usual.
  4. Children settle into their first morning task from 8.35am with teachers starting the register at 8.45am.
  5. The school gates close promptly at 8.45am.  

Lunchtimes

Lunchtime is between 12 and 1pm.

The children have a range of activities they can choose from with more structured games such as table tennis, tennis, football and basketball on a rota. Play is led by year 6 and 5 play leaders throughout the year. 

Collection from School

The gates open at 3.10pm for adults to enter the school playground. KS1 and EYFS children are dismisssed via the far playground. KS2 children are dismissed from outside their classrooms and children will make their way to their adults down the steps themselves. Please stand in a position for children to see you to let the adult dismissing them that you are there. Year 5 and 6 children may get written permission to walk home alone from an adult.

Total school hours: Key stage 1- 32.5 hours and Key Stage 2- 32.9 hours per week

Gates open: 8.35 am
School Day starts: 8.40 am
Registers taken: 8.45 am and 1 pm and are closed at 9:00am and 1:15pm respectively.
School Day ends: 3.15 pm
